Goulash

Like so many good cooks, my mother didn't write her recipes down. Over the years, my sister Gloria reconstructed it. Also like so many good cooks - ingredients are not exact. This is her recipe.

One pound hamburger (no less than 80-20)

One medium box of macaroni

One small onion (chopped)

One can of tomatoes (whole, diced, whatever you prefer)

Garlic salt, salt and pepper


Cook macaroni

Fry hamburger and onion, set aside

After macaroni is cooked rinse with cold water

Add it, with the tomatoes, to the hamburger and onions

Season with salt, pepper and garlic salt


Taste as you go until you get it right!
